DataLinx Launches Broadband Home Management System

DataLinx Corp. unveiled Push2Test, a home management system for broadband application services including VoIP. The new system allows service providers to offer customers self-diagnostic and self-activation capabilities, and is intended to reduce time trying to diagnose the problem over the phone or dispatching technicians to find problems.

Push2Test consists of two software packages that interact with each other when necessary. The client software runs on a PC located in the subscriber's home network; server-side software runs on a host located at the server's data center.

Push2Test performs activation of a broadband service offering, validates home network set-up and home router configuration, performs subscriber-initiated broadband application service testing, and identifies faults and recommends remedy actions.

Push2Test also pushes fault information and diagnostic test results to the service provider and allows for service provider customization.
