Last summer, the Tamagotchi Uni became globally available with a lot of unrealized potential. While the digital pet toy promised users the “Tamaverse” – a virtual playground to enrich the Tamagotchi experience – it fell short of expectations with limited activities and interactions. However, things are changing for the better.
Bandai recently released an update (version 1.6.0) that introduced the Tama Portal in the Tamaverse. Additionally, two DLC packs called “Tamaverse Tickets” were launched, allowing users to travel to new locations through the portal. The update also addressed the need for more item storage by adding “My Box” where surplus items can be stored.
The new Tamaverse Tickets offer access to new areas like Very Berry Land and LoveMelo Concert, each with unique characters to raise, mini-games, and new items to purchase. These DLCs provide a deeper and more engaging experience in the virtual space.
Players can purchase DLC packs for multiple uses, enabling them to switch between different locations without the need to re-enter codes. The new characters and activities introduced by the DLCs add excitement and variety to the Tamagotchi Uni experience.
Furthermore, the Tama Portal locations offer cheaper items and accessories compared to the Tama Mall, along with refreshing mini-games like Cake Factory and Happy Happy Harmony. These new games provide an enjoyable way to break the daily routine and add depth to the Tamagotchi Uni device.
The DLC expansions hint at more exciting updates like the upcoming Tamamori Fashion Show, which promises even more unique and quirky character designs. Overall, the DLCs and updates are enhancing the Tamagotchi Uni experience, making the virtual space more engaging and interactive for players.
