Considering Samsung’s latest Jet Bot Combo AI robot vacuum, I’m prepared to bid farewell to my iRobot Roomba.

The world of robot vacuums has become increasingly competitive, with brands like Dyson and Samsung trying to carve out their own share of the market. One of the latest offerings from Samsung is the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI, which promises to deliver a superior cleaning experience compared to its predecessor, the Jet Bot AI+.

When the Jet Bot AI+ was released, it failed to impress with its chunky design, sloppy navigation, and subpar edge cleaning. Despite its cool features and impressive suction power, it didn’t quite justify its high price tag. However, Samsung seems to have learned from its mistakes and made significant improvements with the new Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI.

The most noticeable improvement is the height of the vacuum. The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI is shorter than its predecessor and is similar in height to popular robot vacuums like the iRobot Roomba Combo J7+. While slimmer designs are preferred, the extra clearance space compared to the Jet Bot AI+ makes the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI a much better option for cleaning under furniture.

Another significant upgrade is the addition of spinning mop pads that rotate at 170RPM. This allows for a thorough clean on even the toughest stains. The vacuum can recognize different floor types and adjust its cleaning patterns accordingly, lifting the mop pads to avoid dampening carpets. Additionally, the Clean Station can steam, wash, and sanitize mop pads, eliminating 99.9% of bacteria.

The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI also features an auto-emptying home base with separate compartments for dirty and clean water as well as the dust bin. Samsung recommends replacing the dust bin every 2-3 months, which may be a downside for some users. However, the combination of a robot vacuum and mop inherently requires additional space for mop pad cleaning.

On the software side, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI leverages a database of 1.7 million images to enhance its AI neural network for features like obstacle detection. This advanced technology has the potential to greatly improve navigation and overall cleaning performance.

While it’s difficult to say how the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI will perform without testing it extensively, Samsung’s reputation in home appliances and software development makes it a strong competitor. As someone who has experienced issues with their iRobot Roomba Combo J7+, I’m eager to try something new and see if the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI can outlast my current robot vacuum.

Currently, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI is available for pre-order on Samsung’s US website at a list price of $1,699. This price is reduced by $300 at the time of writing, making it a slightly more expensive option compared to competitors like the Roomba J9+ and Dyson Vis Nav.

In conclusion, the robot vacuum market is becoming increasingly crowded with new offerings from various brands. Samsung’s Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI shows promising improvements over its predecessor and has the potential to be a strong contender. Only time will tell if it lives up to the hype and can maintain its performance over time.
