Excitement is building as audiences eagerly anticipate the release of Smile 2 from Paramount Pictures. Directed by Parker Finn, this sequel is set to hit theaters on October 18th and will bring back Kyle Gallner as Joel along with new cast members Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage, and Rosemarie DeWitt.
In the teaser trailer, Scott’s character expresses fear as she keeps seeing a haunting face everywhere, leading to chilling moments where she pleads for the smiling figure to stop.
Finn, who also wrote the screenplay, is known for his previous work on the horror hit Smile, which was based on his short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. The success of the first film paved the way for Finn to establish a first-look deal with Paramount.
Gage, one of the actors in Smile 2, shared his experiences on set, admitting that the intensity of the scenes caused him to dry-heave during filming. Despite the challenges, he applauded Finn for bringing back the eerie and captivating essence of the original movie while teasing exciting cameos in the sequel.
As the release date approaches, fans of horror films are gearing up to once again experience the spine-chilling thrills and suspense that Smile 2 promises to deliver.
