Recently, a former The Citadel basketball player, Daniel Eykyn, was announced as the Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach at Bishop England High School in Charleston, South Carolina. Eykyn brings over a decade of experience as an assistant coach for the Battling Bishops, where he has honed his skills and knowledge of the game.

During his time as a player for The Citadel, Eykyn was a consistent presence on the court, playing 105 games and averaging 2.4 points per game and 1.7 rebounds. His experience as a player will undoubtedly benefit him in his new role as head coach, allowing him to relate to his players on a deeper level.

Eykyn’s former coach, Ed Conroy, expressed his excitement for Eykyn’s new position and his belief that Eykyn will bring intensity and dedication to the Bishop England High School basketball program.
