Travis Kelce is all set to make his scripted TV debut in an upcoming FX series called Grotesquerie, created by Ryan Murphy. It was revealed in a press conference that Murphy had a role in mind for Kelce and was open to tailoring it specifically for him. Kelce, who expressed interest in acting, worked with an acting coach for several months to prepare for the role.
Not much information is available about Kelce’s character in the series, but the show’s trailer offers a sneak peek at what’s to come. Grotesquerie revolves around Detective Lois Tryon, played by Niecy Nash-Betts, as she investigates disturbing crimes in a small community. With a strained relationship with her daughter and personal struggles at home, Lois joins forces with Sister Megan, portrayed by Micaela Diamond, to uncover the truth behind the crimes.
The series also features an ensemble cast including Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Raven Goodwin, and Nicholas Alexander Chavez. Based on the log line, Grotesquerie promises to be a thrilling and suspenseful journey into the dark and mysterious world of crime investigation.
