Chiefs Update on DE BJ Thompson and Friday Practice Notes

BJ Thompson, Chiefs, DE, Friday Practice, Notes, Update

Thursday’s football practice had to be called off due to a medical emergency, but luckily, the team received positive news about Thompson’s health, so they were back on the field the following day.

During Friday’s practice, linebacker Jack Cochrane stood out with a pass-breakup in the 7-on-7 drills. It was an impressive display of skill from the third-year player.

Second-year wide receiver Nikko Remigio also had a standout performance, making multiple noteworthy receptions, including a fantastic grab on a deep pass during an 11-on-11 period. His ability to track the ball was on full display that day.

Veteran wide receiver Justin Watson had a solid practice as well, showcasing his catching ability with several receptions, including one deep down the field during 11-on-11 drills.

Cornerback Joshua Williams made his presence known with an interception in the red zone, while cornerback Nazeeh Johnson had a great pass-breakup in the end zone during 11-on-11 drills. Linebacker Cam Jones also made a key play with a pass-breakup in an 11-on-11 session.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also impressed with what appeared to be a no-look pass to tight end Noah Gray during an 11-on-11 period.

The team is now gearing up for mandatory minicamp next week, where they will continue to work on their skills and build chemistry as a unit.
