Former New York Yankee legend Derek Jeter is parting ways with his Greenwood Lake estate in Orange County. The four-acre property, complete with a 9,000-square-foot Tiedemann Castle, is being sold through Mansion Global. Jeter initially listed the estate at $14.75 million in 2018, but it is now priced at $6.5 million.
Jeter acquired the estate in the early 2000s for $1.6 million and invested around $3 million in renovations. The property features an array of amenities, including guest, boat and pool houses, an outdoor kitchen, a lagoon, a dock, and even a replica of the Statue of Liberty.
It is interesting to see how celebrities personalize their homes to reflect their tastes and interests. Jeter’s transformation of the Greenwood Lake estate into his own personal castle showcases his dedication to creating a unique and luxurious living space.
