In order to configure the Timeline feature, Google is requesting users to review their Google Maps settings and choose a device to store their “saved visits and routes.” The email provides a link to the app’s settings menu, but users can also access this by navigating to Google Maps on their mobile device. Once in the Timeline section of the settings, users will be prompted with a notification regarding the upcoming changes.
