Fans of Final Fantasy and fantasy RPGs have a lot to look forward to. While many are still playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has just been released, and the Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, will arrive in June. Additionally, the second Final Fantasy XVI DLC, The Rising Tide, is set to release on April 18. Square Enix has also announced that the fifth expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online, Dawntrail, will be released on July 2.
Dawntrail will introduce a new storyline, two new classes (Pictomancer and Viper), increased level cap to 100, and more dungeons. Pre-orders for the $40 expansion will open on Tuesday, with early access likely starting on June 28. Collector’s editions will also be available, offering various in-game items including an Ark mount from Final Fantasy IX. In-game items, including access to previous expansions, are included in all editions.
Furthermore, a crossover questline with Final Fantasy XVI will be available from April 2 to May 8, providing players with Final Fantasy XVI-themed rewards for completing quests.
