Caddo Lake, a popular spot in the ArkLaTex, is the setting for a new movie with a horror/mystery plot. The film was produced by M. Night Shyamalan and writer-directors Celine Held and Logan George, featuring scenes filmed in Louisiana and Texas.
Local actors from the Shreveport-Bossier area had the opportunity to be part of the movie, with some even attending the premiere in New York. Being cast in a film that is set in their own community added a sense of originality and authenticity to the project, according to one actor.
Assistant Production Manager Tony Yuse shared that a majority of the cast and crew were from Shreveport, with some members coming from other areas in Louisiana, New York, and Los Angeles. The use of local extras further highlighted the connection between the film and the region it was set in.
The collaboration between the filmmakers and the local community not only provided opportunities for aspiring actors and crew members but also showcased the beauty of Caddo Lake and its surrounding areas. The hope is that the movie will attract tourists to visit and explore the picturesque location where it was filmed.
