Game Help, which offers developer-created tips and videos to assist players in their PlayStation 5 gaming experience, has been available since 2020. Recently, Sony announced an expansion of this feature called Community Game Help. This new feature allows users to view hint videos of other players’ gameplay on select titles.
To access Community tips, users can follow the same process as Game Help: press the PS button, launch the Control Center, and locate an Action Card labeled “Hints Inside.” Cards containing gamer videos will be labeled as Community Game Help. Players are encouraged to rate the helpfulness of each tip to influence which videos are displayed in the future.
Players have the option to opt-in or out of allowing Sony to use clips from their gameplay as hints for others. If opted in, Sony will automatically capture videos while players navigate certain parts of a game. However, any personal information or streaming content on the screen will not be included in the shared videos. Users will also receive a notification if their gameplay is shared as a hint. Moderators will curate the videos to determine which ones will be included in the Community Game Help cards, although this feature will not be available for a few more months.
