Threads and Instagram have stopped recommending political content and are focusing on sports to create a more real-time experience. Instagram head Adam Mosseri has been engaging with NBA fans on Threads, emphasizing the popularity of NBA discussions.
NBA Twitter is a large platform for basketball discussions, which Meta may be aiming to compete with. Apple has also introduced a sports-related initiative. Threads has introduced new features for algorithm tuning and beta testing for sharing content on other platforms. The live scores feature is currently in testing.
