Titans ink deal with ex-Seahawks safety Jamal Adams for one-year contract

contract, former, Jamal Adams, one-year, safety, Seahawks, sign, Titans

Adams has had a quiet couple of seasons in terms of football activity, only playing in a total of 10 games. His standout year was back in 2021 when he made significant contributions on the field. As he nears 29 years old, it was evident that the Seattle Seahawks were not going to retain him, despite the high price they paid to acquire him from the Jets in 2020.

However, after a long period of uncertainty in free agency, Adams has found a new home with the Titans in Nashville. This move reunites him with Titans general manager Ran Carthon, whose father has a history with Adams’ family in the NFL.

Adams now joins a Titans defense that boasts a mix of established players like Jeffery Simmons and L’Jarius Sneed, along with recent additions like Chidobe Awuzie, Kenneth Murray, and Arden Key. The team also added T’Vondre Sweat in the recent draft, creating a potentially formidable defensive lineup.

The Titans seem to be assembling a group of experienced players to help steer the team in the right direction after a challenging season. With Adams’ talent and if he can stay healthy, he has the potential to provide valuable leadership and support to the Titans’ defensive unit.
