Walmart no longer has to sell a kidney to afford a giant 4K TV for the living room, as television prices continue to decline. Vizio recently announced a new 86-inch 4K smart TV that costs just $999.
The latest addition to Vizio’s lineup of 4K televisions is notable for its size. The next-biggest model is 75 inches, which is already quite large. This new TV will be like having a Times Square billboard in your living room, which is great for home theater enthusiasts.
While we have yet to see how this TV performs in action, it comes with impressive features. Vizio claims it offers the same powerful picture quality as its predecessors, thanks to Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+. The TV can also run games at 120 fps in 1080p resolution. Other features include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and DTS:X audio.
Walmart recently agreed to acquire Vizio for $23 billion, pending regulatory approval. The 86-inch 4K TV will officially go on sale on April 29 at both physical and online retailers.
