Introspect has introduced a new memory test system known as the M5512 GDDR7. This tool is specifically designed for testing GDDR7 memory controllers, physical interface, and GDDR7 SGRAM chips. It will allow memory and processor manufacturers to ensure that their products meet the standard specifications.

Testing standard interfaces like PCIe, DisplayPort, and GDDR is a crucial step in the processor design process. The M5512 GDDR7 memory test system is designed to test new GDDR7 memory devices, troubleshoot protocol issues, assess signal integrity, and conduct memory read/write stress tests. This will be beneficial for designers of GPUs/SoCs, graphics cards, PCs, network equipment, and memory chips, as it will accelerate the development of products relying on GDDR7 memory.

The M5512 GDDR7 Memory Test System is a desktop device with 72 pins capable of operating at up to 40 Gbps in PAM3 mode. It features bidirectional circuitry for read and write operations, as well as various analog characterization features for AC testing and conformance testing. The system also includes device power supplies with precise controls for both AC characterization and memory functional stress testing.

Developed in collaboration with JEDEC members working on the GDDR7 specification, the M5512 aims to meet compliance testing requirements. While it does not eliminate the need for interoperability tests or the development of test algorithms by companies, it is still a valuable tool for advancing device development and preparing for interop testing.

Dr. Mohamed Hafed, CEO at Introspect Technology, expressed the company’s dedication to supporting GDDR7 deployment through the development of the M5512 GDDR7 Memory Test System.
