Death Announcement: Victor Dale Lee, 1949-2024 | Lost Coast Outpost

1949-2024, Lost Coast Outpost, obituary, Victor Dale Lee

Victor Dale Lee was born on January 24, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Wisconsin, he moved back to Texas for college before returning to Wisconsin to marry Judith Wagner (Lee), whom he had met at St. John’s. Together, they had a son named Christopher Lee and owned a small candle store.

In 1974, Victor and his family moved to San Jose, where they embraced the hippie counterculture inspired by the Summer of Love. Over the next 30 years, he lived and worked in and around the San Francisco Bay Area, eventually retiring to Eureka in 2006. He remarried Linda Robb in 2015 but was widowed in 2020.

Victor was known for his love of reading, particularly spiritual books and sci-fi, as well as his passion for the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed the views of the redwoods in Humboldt County and the California coast. Sadly, on April 22, 2024, he passed away after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

His final wishes were to have his ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean, a place he held dear. Victor will be remembered and missed by his friends and loved ones.
