A popular subscription TV service has just added MLB Network to its lineup, just in time for the start of the 2024 baseball season. This addition will allow customers to watch over 100 nationally broadcast MLB games throughout the season, as well as enjoy original programming and studio shows from the network.
Another TV service, YouTube TV, had previously dropped MLB Network due to failed negotiations for a new carriage agreement with Major League Baseball. Unfortunately for YouTube TV subscribers, there has been no indication that the network will be returning any time soon. In contrast, other competitors like Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and Fubo continue to offer MLB Network to their customers.
The landscape of live sports streaming may change significantly by the next baseball season in 2025. Major companies like ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced plans to merge their sports streaming services, which has caught the attention of the Justice Department due to potential concerns about competition and consumer impact.
Hulu with Live TV offers a bundle that includes MLB Network, Disney Plus, and ESPN Plus for $76.99 per month with ads, or $89.99 monthly for an ad-free experience.
