Reportedly, an OLED iPad Pro and the first big-screen iPad Air are set to launch in May

Air, bigscreen, iPad, Launch, OLED, Pro, reportedly, set

Apple is set to launch new iPads in early May, as reported by sources. The new lineup is expected to include a new iPad Pro with an OLED display and a faster iPad Air, with a 12.9-inch model being introduced for the first time. Rumors about these upcoming iPad models have been circulating since last year.

The new iPad Pro models will feature OLED displays, providing deeper blacks and richer colors, and will run on the new M3 chip found in several Macs. These tablets will be launched alongside a redesigned Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard, with the latter introducing a white color option for the first time in four years.

On the other hand, the iPad Air is rumored to run on a new processor, likely the M2 chip as Apple may reserve the M3 for the more expensive Pro models. The 12.9-inch screen option in the iPad Air lineup will offer users a larger display than ever before, albeit at a higher price point compared to its smaller counterpart.

According to recent updates, the new iPads will be released alongside the M3 MacBook Air, following a delay in the original release schedule. Apple needed more time to refine the devices’ software and manufacturing techniques before bringing them to the market.
