Review of Celestron Trailseeker: Premium Binoculars at an Affordable Price

I discovered my love for bird-watching at a young age, influenced by my avid birder parents. I remember sneaking a pair of bulky Bushnell 10×50 binoculars at the age of 5, fascinated by the new world they unveiled. Fast forward 45 years, and my preference now lies with the Celestron TrailSeeker 8×32 ED binoculars for their outstanding optical performance and value for money.

These binoculars boast phase and dielectric-coated BaK-4 prisms, enhancing light transmission and resulting in a bright, sharp, and contrast-rich image. The central sweet spot of the image is incredibly sharp, occupying about 60% of the view and making it a great choice for a binocular in this price range.

While there is some softening towards the edges, it is minimal and does not affect the overall viewing experience. The slight distortion near the edges can be corrected by focusing specifically for those areas, although I found this wasn’t necessary during my field use. The Celestron TrailSeeker 8×32 ED binoculars have truly exceeded my expectations and are well worth the investment at $324.
