Night City is inviting new residents, even if they are just passing through for a few hours. Gamers on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S have the opportunity to try out Cyberpunk 2077 for free over Easter weekend.
Players can enjoy up to five hours of the expansive first-person RPG at no cost between 11AM ET on March 28 and 2:59AM ET on April 1. While PlayStation Plus Premium members can access a five-hour trial of the base game, no subscription is required to join in this weekend.
If you play efficiently, five hours might be enough to experience the crucial heist mission at the end of the first act, potentially enticing you to purchase the full game to continue playing.
Cyberpunk 2077 faced a rough debut in 2020, leading to its removal from the PlayStation Store and offering of refunds by Sony. However, the game has been improved since then. The release of the current-gen console versions brought back some players who ended up enjoying the base game. The highly praised Phantom Liberty expansion and the 2.0 update that revamped key systems are still unexplored by some, but newcomers can get a taste of the latter for free this weekend.
